About The Role
The role is responsible for achieving defined targets related to profit and loss, market share and competitive position for the brand.
You will support the Director of Partnerships in the definition of positioning and detailed strategies, developing and implementing ideas, projects and other required actions, by monitoring and managing costs (e. g. advertising, promo, research spend) to keep them within budget boundaries.
- Main Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy & Growth
- Lead the development and execution of the 3-year growth plan for the Mars Biscuits portfolio, partnering cross-functionally to deliver long-term business objectives.
- Develop and implement the annual brand marketing strategy, covering product, promotion, pricing, channels, competition and communications.
- Partner with Sales, Category and NRM teams to set annual budgets and targets.
- Recommend and deliver brand strategies that drive profitable growth in collaboration with Mars partners.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Influence cross-functional teams to gain alignment and buy-in for brand strategies and plans.
- Manage relationships with the Mars Confectionery team, ensuring alignment and approval of key initiatives.
- Maintain clear internal communication of brand vision, priorities and performance.
- Commercial Leadership
- Influence brand decisions to maximise sales, profit and market performance.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of brand initiatives and projects, balancing day-to-day execution with longer-term strategic priorities.
- Monitor brand, consumer and market performance using data and insights (e. g., Nielsen, Kantar, dunnhumby) to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
- Oversee marketing activities to ensure delivery of agreed sales and growth targets.
- Financial Management
- Deliver and track annual profit growth targets, with accountability for the brand P&L through to marketing contribution.
- Identify and recommend profitable growth opportunities.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring robust tracking and investment control.
- Recommend optimal allocation of brand resources.
- People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop team members in line with company values and performance expectations.
- Recruit, manage, motivate and empower talent to build a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, capability development and continuous improvement.
