About The Role
We have 2 opportunities available to join FBC as Shift Operations Manager at our Blackpool bakery. These roles are on a 12 month FTC. You will be responsible for the delivery of the site production plan, whilst ensuring our People are kept Safe, Well and Competent. You will also develop a continuous improvement culture that results in high performance whilst supporting and driving improvement plans, delivering site budgets and keeping our customers happy. This role operates on a continental shift pattern - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off. 12-hour shifts from 6-6 respectively.
Main Responsibilities
- People
- Adhere to and deliver the site labour Standard, managing overtime figures in line with budget.
- Ensure our people are trained to run the lines efficiently and to legal requirements.
- Keep our people safe, ensure Risk Assessments, Safety Inspections and Accident Investigations are completed to the correct standard and timescales.
- Complete Start Up checks daily.
- Process the Control sheets.
- Ensure Quality paperwork and records are accurate and correct.
- Execution of the Production Plan.
- Monitor Efficiency, Waste and TOS in line with targets.
- Ensure Plant is audit ready.
- Manage Plant Hygiene standards.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience of managing a production area/multiple lines in a 24/7 environment.
- Experience of operating in a traditional employee relations climate/heavily Unionised environment.
- Experience of working within a continuous improvement culture.
- Proven results of improving line capability (efficiency, reduction of waste etc.).
- Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management.
- Ideally, operated in a branded manufacturing business as a custodian of major brands.
