Welcome to Patch. At Patch, our mission is to create opportunity for people, work and communities on every UK high street. That's why we create neighbourhood workspaces where people do their best work close to home. Places where ambitious businesses grow, new ideas take shape, collaborations begin, and local communities become stronger. We design, build and operate every Patch ourselves, combining beautifully designed coworking, private offices and meeting spaces and inspiring event venues that bring people together. As a mission-led business and proud B Corp, we believe business can be a force for good. Our ambition is to create places where people, businesses and communities can thrive together, generating lasting opportunity and positive impact in every place we're part of.
This autumn we're opening our most ambitious Patch yet. We're creating a new home for the city's founders, creatives, innovators and community builders. Based in a beautifully restored landmark building in central Bristol, combining heritage character with contemporary design. Alongside a thriving community of coworking members and private office teams, it will become one of Bristol's leading destinations for meetings, conferences, product launches, talks, celebrations and cultural events that bring the wider city into Patch.
We're looking for an exceptional Events Manager to help launch the venue and build its reputation from day one. Bristol will become Patch's flagship events venue and centre of excellence, with the commercial approaches, operational standards and client relationships you build here shaping how meetings and events evolve across future Patch locations.
You’ll own the commercial performance of our Bristol meetings and events business, driving demand generation, enquiry conversion and exceptional guest experiences. You’ll shape our events proposition, build client relationships and establish Patch as one of the city's leading venues. You’ll report to the Bristol Site Director. Day-to-day, you’ll work alongside our Community & Events Executive as part of the founding Bristol team, working closely with our central Commercial team.
If you’re excited by launching something from the ground up and helping build one of Bristol's most exciting new destinations, we’d love to hear from you.
Why Join Patch?
You’ll join an ambitious team combining expertise across hospitality, operations, design, growth, marketing and community. While you’ll be based in Bristol, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the wider Patch business as we continue to grow. As Bristol grows, this role will grow with it. You’ll begin by leading the commercial success of our flagship events venue, with the opportunity to influence how meetings and events develop across future Patch locations.
Alongside meaningful career progression, you’ll receive:
- Company stock options from day one
- Private healthcare
- 32 days' holiday, + an additional day to take your birthday off
- £30 monthly wellbeing budget
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Popular all-company annual offsite and end of year party
- Ongoing learning and development support
What You’ll Build
As part of the founding Bristol team, you’ll help launch our flagship events venue and shape how meetings and events evolve across the business, establishing Patch as one of Bristol's leading venues for ambitious organisations to gather.
- Build Bristol's leading events venue: You’ll own the Bristol meetings and events revenue targets, taking responsibility for generating demand, converting enquiries and delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Win brilliant events: You’ll own the commercial pipeline from first enquiry through to confirmed booking, creating compelling proposals, converting enquiries and consistently growing meetings and events revenue.
- Deliver exceptional experiences: You’ll oversee the delivery of our events, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed, and every client feels exceptionally well looked after.
- Build a loyal client base: You’ll become a trusted partner to businesses, agencies and organisations across Bristol, understanding what matters to each client and creating experiences that reflect their ambitions.
- Shape the future of events at Patch nationwide: As our flagship events venue and centre of excellence for meetings and events, Bristol will help define how Patch grows.
Experience
We’re looking for someone excited by the opportunity to build something exceptional. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience in events management, venue sales or hospitality, ideally within premium venues, coworking spaces, cultural venues, conference venues or hotels.
- Experience managing events from enquiry through to successful delivery.
- Strong commercial instincts, with a proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings.
- Confidence using CRM systems such as HubSpot.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and build new opportunities.
About You
- A Natural Host: You genuinely enjoy bringing people together and creating environments where people feel welcome.
- Commercially Minded: You recognise that exceptional hospitality and commercial success go hand in hand.
- Calm Under Pressure: You thrive in busy environments and enjoy bringing order to complexity.
- An Ownership Mindset: You're proactive, ambitious and excited by the opportunity to shape something from the ground up.
- Passionate about Bristol: You're excited by Bristol's unique mix of entrepreneurship, technology, creativity, film, media and culture.
If you're excited by the opportunity to help build one of Bristol's most exciting new destinations, we'd love to hear from you.
