The predicted salary is between 15000 - 20000 £ per year.

Full time 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch)

Probationary Period: 3 months from commencement

Duration: 2 year fixed term contract

Remuneration: In accordance with National Minimum Wage Rates

Holidays: 30 days per year

Core Functions of Role and Training:

Assist the Support Service teams (Finance/People & Culture/Marketing/IT Services) with all administrative and operational support, while developing your skills, knowledge and experience as directed by the General Ledger Coordinator or the Accounts Team Manager. You will undertake work-based training to attain a Modern Apprenticeship/SCQF Level 6 in Business Administration which will be carried out through the Highland Learning Academy. You will be allocated protected time at work to maintain your studies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing telephone calls, manage the switchboard and voicemail system
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail as well as the inbox of the generic email accounts
  • Management of meeting rooms and bookings
  • Petty Cash handling
  • Data entry and record maintenance, filing and document management
  • Ordering and monitoring office supplies
  • Supporting the departmental office teams with administrative requests
  • Checking information for accuracy while maintaining confidential records appropriately
  • Completing training and development activities
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties that are appropriate to the role

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes:

The successful applicant will require the following skills and experience:

  • English and Maths at National Level 5
  • Computer literate with a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication, verbal, listening and written skills and able to liaise professionally with both external clients and internal colleagues
  • Ability to follow instructions and agreed processes
  • Promote a good image of self and the company
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills with an aptitude for multi-tasking and efficiently structure daily tasks
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to learn and undertake an Apprenticeship in SCQF Level 6 Business Administration
  • Flexible and willing to undertake tasks outwith the key job responsibilities
  • Be trustworthy, friendly, punctual and reliable
