Be Part of the Original – Join the Team at Pasture Bristol. Pasture Bristol is where it all began. The birthplace of Fire, Meat, Music and the beating heart of everything we stand for. With its character-rich setting, flagstone floors, sweeping staircase, and open kitchen filled with the sizzle of live‑fire cooking, this is more than just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of craft, quality, and connection.
From day one, we've stayed true to our roots. We source only the very best suckled native beef from farms across the southwest, all grass‑fed and raised with care. Our in‑house butchers dry‑age every cut for a minimum of 35 days and prepare each steak fresh for service. It’s a level of detail that shows in every dish and defines who we are.
Behind the food is a passionate, tight‑knit team, warm, welcoming, and dedicated to delivering unforgettable dining experiences night after night. Whether you're stepping into the kitchen, joining the front‑of‑house, or leading service from the floor, Pasture Bristol offers the chance to be part of something truly special — the original flame that started it all.
We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the hardworking, high‑energy kitchen team at Pasture. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, love working with the very best local ingredients, and take real pride in your cooking, this is a chance to be part of something exciting.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after a Chef de Partie who’s genuinely passionate about food, fired up by service, and proud of every plate they send out. You’ll need to bring strong attention to detail, energy, and a drive for high standards; we’re busy, the expectations are high, and the food has to be consistently excellent. Ideally, you’ll have at least 2 years of experience at CDP or strong demi level, working in quality kitchens with fresh, seasonal produce. You’ll be someone who works well in a large, collaborative team and thrives on getting stuck in. In return, you’ll join a supportive, creative environment where learning, growth, and innovation are part of everyday life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and executing dishes to an exceptional standard, during high‑paced services
- Working closely with your station team to maintain precision, speed, and consistency
- Collaborating with the wider kitchen to ensure smooth, efficient service across all sections
- Maintaining strong prep systems and mise en place to keep ahead of demand
- Contributing ideas to menu development and helping bring new dishes to life
- Following all hygiene, food safety, and health & safety procedures (HACCP knowledge a plus)
- Supporting junior chefs through coaching, teamwork, and a lead‑by‑example approach
- Taking pride in every plate and every detail from taste and texture to timing and presentation
You
You’re a focused, passionate chef with a serious love for cooking and a calm, can‑do approach. You work well under pressure, stay sharp in busy services, and care deeply about the quality of every dish that leaves the pass. You’re organised, disciplined, and motivated to push yourself further every day. You value working as part of a strong team, sharing knowledge, and learning from those around you. Whether you’re deep into prep, working the grill, or plating up on a packed Friday night, you bring your best, and you’re hungry to keep growing.
