This role offers a base salary of £33,000, plus a competitive share of Tronc. 100% of Tronc is distributed directly to staff, averaging a total potential earnings of over £46,600 annually.

We are looking for a new host manager to join our team at Pasture. We work in a fast‑paced and energetic atmosphere, serving the finest local produce and offering dedicated, genuine service. Customers vary from casual lunches, long business meetings or dining with friends and loved ones for special occasions.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Ideally, you’ll have experience in both managing a host team and a reservations system for a high‑volume, fast‑paced restaurant.
  • You’ll know your way around SevenRooms or similar booking systems, as well as being proficient with email and computers in general.
  • You must be an excellent communicator on the phone and face‑to‑face while greeting our customers and making them feel welcome.
  • You will need to be a good problem‑solver who will go above and beyond to ensure we can accommodate every guest and their needs, as well as interacting, communicating efficiently with colleagues and the team.
  • You will feel confident in building a guest journey from start to finish, from making an enquiry with us to organising and meticulously planning each booking, to being present to help host and look after guests on the day.

You:

  • Adhere to Pasture values. People, People, People! Genuine hospitality helps the team create memorable experiences for the guests, enjoy working closely within a big team, connecting, interacting and building relationships with our guests and staff.
  • Managing the host team, including Rotas, training and people management.
  • Maximising covers, confirming reservations and managing waitlists.
  • Ensuring all calls, voicemails, texts and emails are replied to in good time.
  • Ensuring all reservation notes are clear and accurate, including VIP guests and allergies, and ensuring clear communication with management.
