Oversee daily operations across multiple kitchens, ensuring compliance with company standards, health & safety regulations, and food hygiene protocols. Manage weekly personal visits to the sites in your designated area, aiming to have 2‑6 sites under management. Keep daily contact with all sites, conduct one‑on‑one meetings with team leaders, and review previous week results weekly. Work on a hire‑and‑retain plan for all sites, actively helping or consistently recruiting and conducting on‑the‑job training.
Track and analyse performance metrics (KPIs, service times, customer feedback) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Collaborate with the Area Manager and the People Team to ensure compliance with legislative requirements associated with recruitment and working practices of employees, such as working time regulations and immigration restrictions. Conduct robust performance appraisals in line with the company guidelines and timescales. Proactively develop team leaders through continuous coaching and support.
Assist the Area Manager with proactive management of all in‑kitchen employee relations issues in line with statutory requirements and employment law. Track team absence, taking action in line with Pasta Evangelists absence management policy where appropriate. Manage team holidays in line with the needs of your business. All statutory and company Health, Safety, and Food Hygiene regulations must be strictly adhered to at all times, with corrective action taken in a timely manner as necessary.
Maintain consistent food quality across all sites, ensuring every dish meets our high standards in taste, presentation, and portioning. Adopt a strong recognition culture that highlights high performing individuals. Recognise and celebrate exceptional sales achievements with the team. Set and communicate daily/weekly sales goals to the team, striving to consistently exceed sales targets. Collaborate with the area manager to maximise kitchen profitability by understanding and controlling all kitchen costs (e.g., labour, food). Assist with the opening of new kitchens, ensuring smooth launches and consistent training for new teams. Act as deputy for the area manager when required.

- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in multi‑site operations or the food service industry.
