Skills And Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of or interest in Moody’s Ratings business model, position in the credit rating agency industry, role in the global financial markets, and applicable regulatory regimes.
- Strong understanding of financial sector development, capital markets evolution, and regulatory trends across EMEA, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
- Knowledge of Islamic finance, including Shariah-compliant funding structures, fixed income markets, and financial institutions.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across diverse business cultures.
- Ability to converse on analytical and technical financial issues and translate complex market developments into strategic business insights.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically across the Middle East, including key financial and capital markets hubs.

- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.

Education
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
- Professional business, financial, or accounting qualification preferred, such as Chartered Financial Analyst or Master of Business Administration.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and transformational initiatives that advance Moody’s Ratings’ priorities across the Middle East region.
- Support the evaluation and strategic oversight of regional growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across regional growth initiatives, partnerships, and investments on governance, operational, analytical, and strategic matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with key capital market stakeholders across the region, including regulators, stock exchanges, banks, asset managers, issuers, and public sector entities.
- Support the planning and execution of market outreach activities, events, thought leadership programs, and educational initiatives that promote capital market development.
- Deliver market intelligence and strategic insights to regional and global leadership to support business planning and regional priorities.
- Partner with the Senior Vice President, Head of Strategy and Business Management, on the evaluation, execution, and integration of strategic opportunities across the region.
- Contribute to the development and execution of EMEA Regional Management objectives and support broader cross-functional strategic initiatives as required.
- Serve as a representative director or board member for relevant affiliate investments, providing governance oversight and strategic guidance as opportunities arise.

The team works closely with business, analytical, and functional leaders to ensure strategic priorities are executed effectively, regional capabilities are strengthened, and growth opportunities are identified and advanced.
