Electronic circuit boards are the core of current and future inventions – from space travel and medical robotics to autonomous transportation and augmented reality. Designing these boards is currently a very manual, long, and tedious process. At Circuit Mind we aim to change that by developing a platform that automatically generates complete, manufacturable circuit designs from simple user specifications.

Mission

We are hiring a Circuit Design Engineer (AI) to join our Library Team. The role focuses on building an unprecedented database of electronic components, each entry containing full information derived from the component’s datasheet.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly create high‑quality electronic component models using our AI‑powered software:
    • Analyse datasheets
    • Validate data extracted by our preprocessing algorithms
    • Enter engineering constraints
  • Collaborate with the library engineering team to devise clever ways to model novel electronic components.
  • Inform the internal software development team to enable faster and more reliable digital twin creation processes.
  • Provide input into component representation:
    • Report component features that are not currently represented.
    • Suggest ideas for simplifying current abstractions.
  • Work productively in a team environment.
  • Use Excel to manage component data.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in electronics circuit design.
  • Proficiency in selecting components for analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuit boards.
  • Knowledge of schematic design principles for analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuit boards.
  • Experience with at least one professional electronic CAD software package (Mentor, Cadence, Altium, Zuken) and willingness to learn others.
  • Strong teamwork skills.

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Experience in schematic capture or component selection for complex boards (100+ components, 4+ layers, high‑speed digital signals, sensitive analog components).
  • Experience in circuit analysis (timing analysis, transient analysis, DC operating point calculations).
  • Experience in circuit simulation or modelling.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout principles for analog, digital, and mixed‑signal board design.
  • Experience creating and verifying component symbols and footprints.

Salary range: £18,000–£40,000 (depending on seniority and geography).
