Role Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Hotel Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our newly relaunched hotel. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest service, supporting daily front desk operations, and upholding the standards expected of an IHG-branded property.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service from check-in to check-out
- Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone, and via email with professionalism
- Process reservations, payments, and room allocations accurately
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
- Assist with guest complaints or issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution
- Maintain the reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Support the Front Of House team during busy periods and contribute to a positive working environment
- Ensure all guest information is handled confidentially and in line with GDPR
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a customer-facing role (hospitality experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using computers and reservation systems (training provided if needed)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
