Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Reception Night Porter to oversee the hotel during overnight hours. As the face of the hotel throughout the night, you will provide excellent guest service, ensure the smooth running of front desk operations, and maintain the safety and security of the property. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the hotel reception desk during overnight shifts, providing a warm and professional welcome to guests
  • Handle late check‑ins, early departures, and guest enquiries efficiently and professionally
  • Complete nightly audit procedures and administrative tasks accurately
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel premises throughout the night
  • Carry out regular security checks of the property
  • Set up public areas, meeting rooms, or breakfast areas as required for the following day
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in reception and public areas
  • Support other departments where required to ensure smooth overnight operations
  • Ensure all work aligns with hotel and IHG brand standards

Key Requirements

  • Previous reception, hospitality, hotel, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
