PASS Ltd are a Training provider based in Thornaby, Teesside. We also supply electrical test equipment and have calibration laboratories across the UK.
We have grown substantially over the last 24 years and now have a team that consists of around 150 staff in total.
We provide electrical, high voltage and domestic and commercial gas training courses across the UK and sometimes abroad, with a new centre opening in Stevenage in 2026.
We require a Training Centre Admin Manager to head our busy and expanding admin team as sadly our current Manager will be retiring at the end of 2026.
The role will be based in Thornaby and does not generally require travelling.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of all of the administration side of the training department and reporting to the General Manager.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with Friday finish at 4pm. You may be required a few times a year to stay back if a delegate requires it. There is also a bonus scheme currently in place based upon the performance of the department.
You will directly manage the four administration staff that are currently based in Thornaby to ensure that the administration of all courses run smoothly.
Your role will include but not restricted to:
- Managing the admin team and the daily administration tasks of the training department
- Managing holidays and cover for the team
- Carrying out staff appraisals and return to work interviews where required
- Assisting with recruiting when roles become available
- Ensuring the smooth running of the training centres
- Scheduling course schedules throughout the year
- Liaising with the various instructors to check availability and dealing with any issues and queries from instructors
- Arranging overseas travel with instructors where required
- Signing off instructors claims and expenses
- Advising Customers on relevant courses and pre-requisites where necessary
- Booking candidates onto training courses
- Ensuring that the course and candidate management software is kept up to date
- Ensuring that lunches are arranged for each course
- Ensuring that course documentation is dispatched and organised for each course
- Ensuring all bookings for all training courses by telephone, email and web are taken accurately
- Ensuring that the quality of Course material is kept up to date
- Liaising with registration bodies such as City and Guilds, LCL
- Ensure awarding bodies QMS system is updated and recorded when required
- Arranging audit paperwork for instructors
- Quality Management of all exam paperwork, before and after exams
- Liaising with external awarding bodies
- Ensuring compliance with and managing external audits and auditors
- Ensuring correct registration of candidates with the awarding bodies such as City and Guilds
- Ensuring that certification reaches candidates in a timely fashion
- Dealing with any facilities issues through the General Manager and ensuring the training centres are well presented.
- Monitoring course feedback and ensuring the quality and performance of instructors and the training centre is upheld
- Managing training centre reports for the Company\’s accountant
A large part of your time will involve working within a team and also on your own initiative.

· Management experience or experience of running a Business.
· Previous experience of running a team
· Previous experience in a Training Centre Environment
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent computer skills and proficient in word, excel and outlook
· Extremely IT literate
· Adaptable with a keen eye for detail
· Willing to go above and beyond
