We’re looking for an HR Director for our Pasquill business (part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland).
Pasquill is at an exciting point in its journey, with significant transformational change underway across the business. As HR Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping that future, ensuring our people strategy enables sustainable growth, organisational effectiveness, and high performance.
Partnering closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead the People and Organisational Development agenda, driving workforce planning, leadership capability, employee engagement, and talent development. This is a strategic role with the opportunity to influence key business decisions, support organisational change, and ensure our people and culture remain a source of competitive advantage.
This is a hybrid role and can be based out of any Pasquill or Saint-Gobain site in the UK. At times you’ll be where the business needs you, so the ability to travel across the UK is required.
What we’re looking for:
- Senior HR leadership experience in a complex operational, manufacturing, construction products or multi-site environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law, collective and individual consultation, employee relations and organisational change.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate business strategy into clear people priorities and deliverables.
- Experience of leading and developing HR professionals, setting standards and creating accountability for delivery.
- Commercial judgement, data literacy and confidence using HR metrics to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent senior-level HR experience is desirable.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and deliver the Pasquill People Plan, aligned to the annual budget, long-range plan and operational priorities.
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team on organisation design, workforce planning, employee relations, leadership effectiveness and change management.
- Lead the HR response to major organisational change
- Strengthen engagement, communication and employee voice across Pasquill, using employee engagement pulse outputs and local insight to drive practical action.
- Own the talent, succession and capability agenda, overseeing recruitment, assessment, onboarding and retention practices to build strong leadership and operative pipelines for the future.
- Ensure effective employee relations case management, balancing commercial outcomes, fairness, legal compliance and consistency with Saint-Gobain policies.
- Coach and develop the HR team while using data and insight to identify trends in absence, turnover, engagement, recruitment, employee relations activity and workforce capability.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring HR practices support safe behaviours, manager accountability, employee support and compliance with company policy.
