Parvati Property Limited is seeking an experienced Property Development Project Manager to oversee the refurbishment, repair and fit-out of its commercial property portfolio.
The successful candidate will manage development projects from initial property surveys through to completion, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with relevant building regulations and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage commercial property refurbishment, repair and fit-out projects.
- Prepare project specifications, budgets, schedules and work programmes.
- Obtain and evaluate contractor quotations and tenders.
- Appoint and supervise contractors and subcontractors, monitoring work quality and progress.
- Manage project costs, variations and budgets, reporting progress to the Managing Director.
- Coordinate planning permissions, building warrants and completion certificates where required.
- Ensure compliance with Scottish building standards, fire safety and CDM Regulations 2015.
- Arrange and verify statutory safety certification before tenant occupation.
- Conduct property condition surveys and prepare refurbishment cost estimates.
- Oversee planned and reactive property maintenance.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience managing construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of building regulations, construction standards and health and safety requirements.
- Experience in contractor management, budgeting and project cost control.
- Strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to travel regularly to property sites across Scotland.
Desirable
- CIOB, APM or RICS membership or working towards professional accreditation.
- Experience managing commercial property refurbishment and development projects.
