Partrac are one of Europe’s leading metocean providers for the renewables and other coastal and offshore industries. We are particularly well known for delivering high quality metocean monitoring campaigns to the growing offshore wind industry across Europe, including the floating wind sector which is developing rapidly.
We are growing fast and need specialists to join our team, in order to help our clients plan and execute successful projects offshore.

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Metocean Engineer to join our expanding survey team, based in the heart of the southwest of the UK.

For candidates with the right aptitude there are opportunities to be involved in a range of exciting projects, to obtain training and to grow with the company.
Educated to level 3 or above in science, engineering, electrical or mechanical disciplines / degree educated in an oceanographic related discipline.
Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role preferred.
Experience with writing risk assessments & method statements.
Experience in the practical delivery of technical projects, including equipment knowledge, and experience of the deployment of metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore regions.
Practical workboat experience, including experience of lifting operations.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, data loggers and instrument interfaces with satellite / GSM telemetry systems.
Fluent in English (spoken, reading and writing).
Full driving license (manual).
A willingness to travel, predominantly in the UK and Europe, but also further afield as we expand globally.
You will be flexible and adaptable due to the changing working patterns, allied to vessel and weather logistics.
Planned and preventative maintenance, test and inspection, calibration and set up of a wide variety of specialist instrumentation and oceanographic and metocean moorings.
Be an integral part of the metocean team in project preparation, mobilisation and servicing of seabed deployed oceanographic equipment, floating systems including wave buoys and LIDAR systems, in addition to fixed systems such as wave radar and tide gauges installations.
Preparation of project documentation in line with legislation and regulation, industry best practice, client requirements and our own high standards.
Preparation of accurate and timely survey reports.
