Partrac is a leading metocean provider for the renewables and other coastal and offshore industries. We deliver high‑quality metocean monitoring campaigns across Europe, supporting the growing offshore wind sector, including the rapidly developing floating wind market.
Responsibilities
- Complete metocean data processing, report writing and quality control of measurement project outputs.
- Process and analyze meteorological and oceanographic data, using MATLAB scripts and additional toolboxes.
- Scrutinize data for errors, outliers and potential equipment issues.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure efficient data handling and analysis.
- Write scientifically robust technical reports and deliver them to required standards, meeting client deadlines.
- Format, check and review technical reports.
- Provide input into Continuous Improvement Groups.
- Record compliance and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Degree in oceanography, marine science, data science, physics, mathematics or engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in oceanographic data processing, principally from current doppler profilers, marine sensors and wave buoys.
- MATLAB user and script writer, including debugging.
- Advanced user of MS Excel.
- Experienced in applying data quality‑control protocols.
- Experienced in writing succinct, accurate data reports.
- Excellent proof‑reading skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Systematic and methodical approach with fine attention to detail.
- Ability to present data and communicate results effectively and clearly.
- A highly motivated, technical team‑player who is methodical, organised and logical.

The preferred base is the Devon office; a driving licence is desirable but not necessary.
