As an On-Call Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring individuals receive the support they need to live independently and lead the life they choose. You’ll respond to emergencies and cover requirements across our services, working creatively and independently to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be available Monday to Friday to respond to support needs across Hertfordshire.
  • Provide person-centred support in line with individual plans and our values.
  • Support individuals with daily living, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and household responsibilities.
  • Assist with personal care, budgeting, and developing life skills.
  • Communicate respectfully and work collaboratively with the wider support team.
  • Respond promptly to any issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience providing person-centred support to people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to person-centred approaches.
  • Positive, motivated, and patient.
  • Flexible and able to respond to different services as needed.

Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. This position is open to female applicants only, as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.
