Due to continued growth, SRS Partnership are looking for a results-driven Sales Estimator for our Glasgow-based client, a leader in manufacturing energy-efficient, sustainable, and precision-engineered products. You will be responsible for the preparation of detailed take-offs and costings for tenders and quotations across a variety of projects. From small-scale projects worth £5k to large multi-million-pound developments, you’ll be handling diverse projects that offer a challenge and growth opportunities!
You will be joining a dynamic, successful and highly driven team committed to delivering the best product solutions to clients within the construction sector as well as maintaining the highest possible standards of customer care.
Key Responsibilities- Review architect drawings, specifications, and related docs to produce precise estimates
- Collect and analyse data on materials, labour, and overhead costs
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Clarify project details with clients to ensure estimates match the scope
- Develop value engineering solutions
- Assist with contract negotiations and procurement
- Support the sales team with technical expertise
- Handover estimates to design and production teams upon order receipt
- Experience within the Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
- Experience (or) qualifications in estimating, quantity surveying, construction/project management, or procurement.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numeracy.
- Excellent client service and communication skills at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines.
- Experience in the glass industry would be preferred.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and 'gateway' requirements.
- Experience with various construction types.
- Familiarity with Passivhaus Standard.
- Understanding of NHBC, Premier, or other building warranty standards.
