Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation with multiple sites across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join their site leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the on-site mechanical maintenance team
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant and equipment
- Plan and deliver maintenance and improvement projects
- Implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Identify potential plant risks and support long-term maintenance planning
- Monitor completion and quality of mechanical maintenance tasks
- Work closely with the electrical team to support system improvements
- Identify skills gaps within the team and support training and development
- Ensure statutory inspections are completed and any follow-up work is actioned
- Promote strong health & safety practices and lead regular safety briefings
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience supervising or leading a mechanical maintenance team
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production or heavy industry environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, fault finding and plant equipment
- Experience with maintenance planning and inspection processes
- Engineering qualification (HNC, Degree or equivalent preferred)
- Health & safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
