Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a solid electrical background?
Would you like to work for a leading manufacturing business that designs and produces unique products for a range of prestigious brands all from their new, state-of-the-art facility in North Lanarkshire?
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment by carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on electrical systems. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and the rapid resolution of faults while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment faults quickly and safely, minimising downtime.
- Deliver and improve the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Install, commission, and modify machinery and systems as required.
- Apply Continuous Improvement (CI) principles to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and shift handovers.
- Undertake electrical tasks including – Sensor replacement and calibration, Low-voltage repairs (plugs, fuses, lights, bulbs), Breaker resets and fault tracing, Camera system adjustments (e.g. Barco, vision systems), Disconnecting/reconnecting plug-in motors with local isolation.
- Support mechanical maintenance activities as required.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, improvement projects, and contractor supervision.
Experience & Qualifications
- Time-served engineer with a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Strong experience in electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Competent across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and use CMMS/IT tools confidently.
- Experience with control systems, sensors, or automated machinery.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (preferred).
