Are you an Electrical Supervisor or Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing ready to take the next step in your career? Are you looking for a new role as we move into a new year? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. We are recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join a well-established but growing manufacturing business operating within a heavy industrial environment. This is a key leadership role within the maintenance team where you will lead and develop the electrical function on site, driving continuous improvement, compliance and reliability across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a champion for electrical improvements.
  • Lead and deliver electrical improvement projects (planning, budgeting & execution).
  • Apply preventative & predictive maintenance practices to improve plant reliability.
  • Identify & highlight long-term plant risks - support senior management with repair & investment plans.
  • Monitor completion and quality of electrical tasks (audits and spot checks).
  • Identify skills gaps within the team and implement development plans.
  • Support team retention.
  • Ensure all statutory electrical inspections are completed in line with legislation and follow-up actions closed out.
  • Conduct weekly safety briefings and participate in near miss reporting and safety actions.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 18th Edition qualified.
  • Proven experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage infrastructure.
  • Experience with ATEX and DSEAR regulations.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motor circuits, electricity and electronics.
  • PLC systems knowledge and experience.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Financial management and budget control experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and business principles.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (preferred).
