Partnership Recruiting have a new and exciting vacancy for a Product Technologist to join our clients R&D team at their facility based in Irvine where you will work on product formulations & product performance from conception through to product launch in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help support the development of a portfolio of new formulations and products that are cost effective, delivered on time and are compliant to the applicable regulatory and statutory laws and legislation for the country of use.
  • Help the R & D team with the development process from lab through to scale up and delivery onto the plant - working with other key operational team members from Lab, Process, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, QA, SHE.
  • Carry out routine laboratory and pilot scale processes using a range of equipment to prepare product samples as required.
  • Take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the company to ensure that there is rationalisation of raw materials and packaging.
  • Help and support new product development team members to support evolving business.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • A degree in Chemistry or HNC/HND in a relevant field.
  • Previous Lab experience is preferred - ideally within a chemical environment however will also consider people from food / drinks environments.
  • Knowledge of laboratory measuring equipment such as viscometers, pH, % solids is beneficial.
  • Dynamic, flexible, and motivated.
  • Strong problem solver with excellent communication skills.
