Partnership Recruiting are currently looking to speak to experienced MS Maintenance Engineers with both Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience. Due to our clients continued growth at their state-of-the-art facility in Irvine, they are looking for additional engineers to join the existing maintenance engineering team where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs on all production and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake tasks in line with maintenance requisition requests.
  • To conduct PPM tasks as required.
  • Provide the most effective maintenance service possible thus maximising production output.
  • Undertake On call duties as & when required by the Engineering rota.
  • Ensure area of responsibility housekeeping is of a high standard.
  • Complete engineering projects as assigned by management.
  • Actively engage with suppliers to improve service levels and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that all Quality Systems are followed.

What we need from You

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required (or equivalent).
  • Experience gained over a period of 2+ years in FMCG and/or GMP environment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic circuits.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Experience using electronic maintenance management systems (CMMS) would be an advantage.
  • Electrical controls knowledge – plc’s, invertors etc would be advantageous.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • A strong understanding of Health and Safety processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Experience of working within a COMAH site.

Please note that you will be expected to work a 24/7 continental shift pattern (2-2, 3-2, 2-3): 2/2 - Dayshift, 6am-6pm; 3/2 - Nightshift, 6pm-6am; 2/3 - Dayshift, 6am-6pm.

After 3 months the company will contribute a % of your salary to the company pension scheme. You will receive 28 days holidays, inclusive of the 8 statutory days of which 5 are fixed and you will get an additional day off for your birthday.
