We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing team delivering carbon-neutral solutions to customers across Scotland.

Based out of Invergordon you’ll travel to client sites to provide engineering and maintenance support, helping to maximise the availability, efficiency and performance of industrial biomass steam boilers.

The Role

  • £18.88 per hour - Your working day starts when you leave home
  • 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
  • Based out of Invergordon
  • Predominantly working across Speyside, with additional sites in Perth and the Isle of Jura
  • Overnight stays required depending on location and workload
  • Planned and shared out-of-hours callouts on a team rota

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Routine servicing and inspection of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Supporting commissioning and specialist contractors
  • Completing site reports and updating maintenance records
  • Providing technical feedback to customers and engineering teams
  • Working in line with Health & Safety, environmental and compliance requirements

About You

  • HND or above, or a time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant industrial experience
  • Multi-skilled engineering background, ideally with an electrical bias
  • Previous field service/support experience
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Confident dealing directly with customers
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong commitment to safe working practices
  • Stay Away Information
  • Monthly PPMs: typically 1–2 nights per month
  • Reactive/corrective maintenance: as required, depending on location
  • Annual PPMs: as required; the most remote site may require 4–5 nights
  • Commissioning: as required, depending on project schedule and location
