We are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing facility in the East Lothian area. This is a hands-on role within the site maintenance team, focused on minimising downtime, supporting production, and maintaining plant equipment to a high standard.

  • Electrical maintenance on manufacturing and plant equipment
  • Fault finding on motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems
  • Responding to breakdowns to keep production running
  • Supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules
  • Working on shutdowns, overhauls, and improvement projects
  • Using maintenance systems to record work completed
  • Working closely with mechanical engineers and production staff
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

  • Qualified Electrician / Electrical Engineer
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, timber, heavy industry, or similar environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with PLC / automation / control systems (advantage)
  • Used to working in a fast-paced plant environment
  • Able to work as part of a maintenance team
  • Reliable, practical, and safety-focused
