SRS Partnership have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Junior Project Engineer to join our esteemed manufacturing client in North Ayrshire. This role involves managing projects across industries such as oil refining, chemical processing, and agriculture, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. It’s a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing company and advance their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee purchase orders from initiation to completion, ensuring timely processing.
- Serve as the main client contact for contractual, financial, and engineering matters throughout each project.
- Maintain and update project schedules in MS Project, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met during manufacturing, with equipment produced and delivered on schedule.
- Provide clients with regular progress updates, including reports and production schedules.
- Review and approve engineering drawings before manufacture.
- Apply for Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit, ensuring documentation aligns with requirements for payment.
- Monitor and expedite payment of project-related debts.
- Troubleshoot and maintain MRP system processes for specific projects.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Relevant Engineering qualification with hands-on experience in manufacturing projects.
- A formal project management qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings.
- Be able to handle Letters of Credit and bank guarantee documentation.
- Knowledge of logistics, import/export documentation, and contracts administration.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, logistics brokers, agents, customers, and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software like M Files.
