We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Engineering Storesperson where you will be responsible for managing all consumable parts and materials, ensuring they are stored, handled, and issued correctly and efficiently. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations and accurate inventory control within an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of lorries and vans
- Raising requisition orders and coordinating with the Materials Manager for purchasing requirements
- Timely and accurate receipt of purchased materials into the electronic database
- Control and recording of all stock movements, both physically and in the electronic system
- Checking and verifying material certification against purchase orders
- Maintaining required stock levels to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensuring material handling adheres to internal processes and quality procedures
- Safe handling and control of chemicals and paints in compliance with COSHH regulations
- Participation in regular cycle counting (daily/weekly/monthly/annual)
- Producing accurate weekly stock usage and inventory reports
- Monitoring and reporting on abnormal usage or stock trends
- Packaging of materials for shipment, including preparation of delivery paperwork
