The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join a fast-growing engineering and technology business based in Dumbarton. This is a permanent role offering competitive pay, career progression, and a supportive working environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC sliding head machines to produce precision components. The role requires good attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience working with CNC lathes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC sliding head machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Work from engineering drawings to produce components to tight tolerances.
  • Carry out quality checks on manufactured parts.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, including lean and 5S initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous CNC sliding head experience (Citizen bar feeder knowledge desirable).
  • Skilled with Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques.
  • CMM knowledge advantageous.
  • Flexible and proactive approach.
  • Programming knowledge beneficial but not essential.
