Are you an experienced Support Worker or looking for a career in Supported Living? We are currently looking for a courteous, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Support Worker to join Partnership of Care based in Caerphilly, South Wales for our Supported Living Service, The Cottage. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people with ASD; however, we have a full training package for any new staff, so if you are looking to give something back to people that need support, this role could be for you.

We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in meeting the complex support needs of individual people with learning disabilities.
  • Have a sound understanding of behaviours that challenge and be able to respond appropriately.
  • Contribute to the promotion of people with learning disabilities advocacy skills, ensuring that people with learning disabilities fully participate in the running of the Service and in all consultation processes.
  • Be responsible for arranging and supporting people to attend regular health & wellbeing appointments.
  • Be engaging and guiding to help people we support gain social skills and home and life skills.
  • Support individuals to achieve planned goals and personal wishes and dreams.
  • Monitor and record daily activities, events and behaviours through our electronic system.
  • Participate in learning and development opportunities organised by Partnership of Care.
About You
  • Be well-organised, self-motivated, compassionate and courteous.
  • Be experienced in or confident to undertake training on administering medication.
  • A full driving licence is required due to the nature and location of the role.
  • Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.
