An established UK technology business is looking to hire a Senior Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering modern web and mobile applications. This is a hands-on role working across ASP.NET Core web platforms and cross-platform mobile apps built with .NET MAUI, with a particular focus on Android.
You will own features from discovery and technical design through to deployment and ongoing support, working within an agile environment. You will be developing in C# using modern .NET, building RESTful APIs, working with Entity Framework Core and optimising SQL Server and Azure SQL databases. There is a strong emphasis on clean architecture, SOLID principles and writing secure, testable, maintainable code.
As a senior developer, you will help shape technical standards, contribute to code reviews, mentor other engineers and work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.
Experience required:
- 5+ years commercial .NET development experience
- Strong ASP.NET Core experience including API development
- Experience building Android focused apps using .NET MAUI or Xamarin
- Solid knowledge of Entity Framework Core and database performance tuning
- Strong SQL skills across SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Experience working in Git based collaborative environments
- Exposure to automated testing practices
