An established UK technology business is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a small, collaborative engineering team building modern web and mobile applications. This is a hands-on role where you are comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
You will be writing C# on modern .NET, designing and building RESTful APIs, working with Entity Framework Core, and keeping SQL Server and Azure SQL performing well. Clean architecture, SOLID principles, and writing testable, maintainable code matter here.
As well as your own development work, you will contribute to code reviews, help shape technical standards, provide some light-touch mentoring to less experienced developers, and engage directly with stakeholders. This is not a management role, but you will have influence.
Key Experience:
- 5+ years commercial .NET development
- Strong ASP.NET Core including MVC and API development
- Experience building Android apps with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms
- Good OOP and software design skills, comfortable thinking about architecture
- Solid Entity Framework Core knowledge including performance tuning
- Strong SQL across SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Git-based collaborative working
- Some experience with automated testing
