Description

We are hiring Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities and autism in a supported living environment. This is a full-time or part-time permanent role (up to 37.5 hours per week).

Location: St Albans

Compensation: £12.81 / hour

Responsibilities

  • As a Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in understanding and supporting the individuals you work with. This includes providing both emotional and practical support to help them live their lives their way.
  • No experience is required; there is a commitment to empower people to achieve independence and develop life skills.
  • If you love variety in your day, this role is suitable for you, as no two days are the same.

Qualifications

  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Social Care experience is not necessary, but it is desirable.
  • A commitment to empowering people.
  • Ability to work closely with families and outside agencies.
  • Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Willing to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
  • Able to work a Late - Sleep - Early shift pattern.
  • Able to work independently while being part of a wider support team, providing one-to-one support.
  • Must have a full UK Manual driving license.
