What it’s about
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Intern to join our Private Equity Partnership Investments team in London, UK. This role focuses on secondary transactions (LP portfolios and GP‑led transactions), direct private equity, and primary investments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the investment process, from initial screening to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Secondary Investments: Analyze and evaluate LP portfolios and GP‑led transactions. Support due diligence, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment. Maintenance of core limited partnership models. Draft investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
- Direct Private Equity Investments: Support the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of direct private equity joint and joint‑lead investments alongside other private equity investment firms. Perform industry and company research to identify investment opportunities. Assist in the preparation of financial models, investment theses, and due diligence reports.
- Primary Investments: Evaluate and monitor primary fund investments. Conduct market analysis and track industry trends. Assist in the preparation of investment recommendations and performance reports.
What we expect
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation is a plus.
- Experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field through previous internships is desired but not a must.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
