Client Investment Strategy (80%): The portfolio management team is to specify, develop and execute our clients’ investment strategies. This involves, among other things, the setting of long-term asset allocation targets, the evaluation and selection of third-party investment managers, the design and oversight of derivative overlay strategies, the research and generation of tactical asset allocation ideas, and attendance at client meetings to report on investment performance and discuss investment strategy. You will initially be allocated around a dozen investment portfolios, which will cover a range of institutional and family office clients. Each client is typically supported by a team of 3 to 5 people, with whom you will work on a day to day basis. With support and training, you will gradually take the lead in client interactions, which include regular portfolio reviews, presentations, and ad-hoc queries.
Other (20%): In addition to the above, you will take on other activities and projects, which might include: coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, interviewing Investment Associate candidates, participating in pitches to prospective clients, performing due diligence on third-party investment managers, co-authoring investment strategy White Papers and helping to develop our technological capabilities. Key responsibilities will be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. As with all other members of the firm, you will be expected to contribute to other areas of the business for example special research projects, recruiting, training or business development.
Position Attributes: Approximately 5 years’ investment experience preferably from an investment.
