Be part of the team transforming our platform

Help build the next-generation database platform powering Partnerize’s global ecosystem. Partnerize is evolving by modernising core systems, expanding our technical estate, and redesigning our data foundations for high performance and global scale. Our databases are mission-critical to this transformation. We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer specialising in databases to strengthen performance, reliability, and scalability across our MySQL estate. Remote-first across the UK.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer and support high-availability MySQL environments across production systems.
• Optimise database performance through indexing, schema design, slow-query analysis, and tuning.
• Manage upgrades, migrations, replication configuration, and failover with minimal downtime.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability for proactive issue detection.
• Collaborate with developers to embed database best practice into application design.
• Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and documentation to uplift the entire platform.

What You Bring

• Strong MySQL experience - query tuning, replication, schema design, operations.
• Hands-on experience with DB monitoring tools (Percona Toolkit, PMM, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort with networking concepts.
• Experience supporting databases for high-scale or production-critical systems.
• Strong communication and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Druid).
• Scripting/automation (Python, Bash).
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
