PHL is looking for areliable, friendly, and flexible Receptionistto join our team at Winchester Hospital. As a key member of our service, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

You will need to handle each situation withempathy, respect, and confidence, providing reassurance to patients and supporting the smooth running of the service.

Hours:Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 18:15–23:15

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone calls promptly, dealing with enquiries while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Welcome patients to the service and manage their arrival efficiently.
  • Keep patients informed about their progress and liaise with your duty team leader to ensure a seamless service.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe reception area.
  • Accurately manage administrative tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, or administration.
  • Confident and able to multitask, working independently without supervision.
  • Sensitivity and empathy when dealing with people from all backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Experience with Adastra and EMIS is desirable but not essential.
