We have an exciting opportunity for Nurse Practitioners & Urgent Care Practitioners to join our team based in Staffordshire House. As a Nurse Practitioner / Urgent Care Practitioner, you will support the team in delivering high quality, timely patient centred care. You will be supported by either a GP or an Advanced Practitioner and undertake assessments for a range of health and clinical needs.
Your day to day... The primary focus of the role is to work as a Nurse Practitioner / Urgent Care Practitioner providing high quality and timely patient centred care. The post holder will:
- Work as a part of a team, within a defined area of practice, within their scope of practice and with access to support from a GP or Advanced Practitioner
- Undertake assessments of a range of health and clinical needs of a patient within scope of competence and using clinical practice skills and own clinical judgement diagnose, treat, refer or discharge patients
Qualifications, Experience & Training:
- Registered Nurse or paramedic – First Level Nurse or other healthcare professional with qualifications leading to registration
- Clinical examination qualification
- Evidence of continuous professional development related to work as a non-medical practitioner
- Demonstrates advanced problem solving and decision-making skills supported using evidence based and/or best practice
- Ability to assimilate large quantities of information quickly and accurately and communicate it clearly
