We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Handyman / Maintenance SupportOperative to join a busy manufacturing plant and assist with essential day-to-day tasks. This temporary role provides support during a period of absence, with the possibility of additional opportunities as the business continues to grow.
Working within a supportive maintenance team, you’ll complete a variety of practical jobs that help keep the site running safely and efficiently. You’ll be someone who takes pride in doing things properly, gets on well with people, and is comfortable taking direction from others when priorities shift.
What you will be doing:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the site
- Support the maintenance team with daily operational duties
- Complete odd jobs such as basic repairs, painting, minor joinery, and general upkeep
- Assist with equipment checks and simple fault reporting
- Maintain safe, tidy work areas in line with site standards
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from production, facilities, and maintenance teams
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What we are looking for|:
- Experience in a handyman, maintenance, or practical trade role
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in completing tasks to a high standard
- Able to take direction and follow instructions clearly
- Gets on well with people and works positively within a team
- Practical, proactive, and willing to support a wide range of tasks
- Commitment to safe working practices
