Partner Financial is working with a growing renewable energy business looking to expand their team. The company is at the forefront of transforming the European renewable energy landscape, operating on a partnership-driven development model that fosters collaboration to deliver innovative renewable projects, reflecting a strong commitment to clean energy and sustainability.

This newly created role offers a broad scope, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain significant exposure and work directly with senior leadership to shape new strategies. Designed to support the company’s expanding renewable energy portfolio and investment initiatives, the Investment Analyst will initially focus on the UK portfolio, playing a key role in enhancing the company’s regional assets and strengthening its overall investment capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for UK assets, delivering actionable insights into financial and operational performance against key metrics.
  • Supporting portfolio management activities with a focus on value enhancement and risk mitigation across diverse assets within the portfolio.
  • Conducting detailed scenario analyses and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of market dynamics, regulatory changes, and operational risks on project financials.
  • Drafting, compiling and presenting investment committee papers for proposed UK investments, incorporating financial summaries, market insights, and risk assessments, while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining advanced financial models for the renewable energy asset portfolio, supporting valuation, performance forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities for financial and operational improvements in existing projects to maximize returns while advancing the company’s sustainability and environmental stewardship goals.

The ideal candidate:

  • Working experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically within transactions involving project finance, asset valuation, or investments.
  • Experience in monitoring and managing existing renewable energy assets, with a focus on optimizing performance and mitigating risks.
  • Strong operational knowledge and understanding of renewable energy project stages along with their specific financial, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional proficiency in building and maintaining financial models, with advanced Excel skills as a core competency.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present high-quality investment committee papers, showcasing strong written and verbal communication skills.
