The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in working directly with senior management, leading all aspects of statutory reporting and accounting treatments, and managing a specialist group finance team.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for constantly improving financial and reporting processes, leading group finance activities, managing group consolidations, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards. The ideal individual will possess the ability to influence key decision-makers and adopt a proactive approach to managing change within an evolving business environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial operations of the business to enhance internal controls and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage group consolidations and the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Support M&A activities and lead the integration of new acquisitions into the reporting process, ensuring seamless financial management across the group.
- Liaise closely with auditors to manage the year-end process.
- Drive consistency in reporting, ensuring all processes are system-driven during development and testing phases.
- Provide support to the broader finance team during year-end close and financial reporting.
- Manage the year-end process to ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial statements and disclosures.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and cultural sensitivity when collaborating with colleagues in different teams and regions.
