Partner Financial is working with a high-performing, independent Corporate Finance Advisory firm operating at the heart of mid-market transactions across Financial Services, Professional Services, and Technology. Known for its relationship-led approach and delivery on complex, high-value deals, the firm offers a collaborative, partnership-driven environment where individuals are genuinely empowered to make an impact.
As the business continues to scale and evolve, they are looking to appoint a Finance Manager into a high-visibility role liaising with the CFO and the C-suite of the business. This position offers a rare blend of core financial management, operational oversight, and involvement in strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take ownership, drive change, and play a key role in the firm’s next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities:- Owning the month-end close process, including preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Producing monthly management accounts and delivering insightful reporting packs for senior stakeholders and partners.
- Coordinating the annual audit process and acting as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Managing VAT returns, corporation tax reporting and statutory filings, liaising with external tax advisers where required.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and broader financial planning processes.
- Contributing to strategic and ad hoc projects, including international expansion and regulatory initiatives.
- Acting as the primary contact for external IT providers and supporting firmwide technology initiatives, including system implementations and AI adoption.
- Driving utilisation and optimisation of CRM systems and other operational tools.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally trained within practice.
- Strong technical expertise across financial reporting and audit.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively across finance, operations and technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Intellectually curious, with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable engaging with systems, automation and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and improvement.
