Partner Financial is collaborating with a dynamic, private equity backed international media business that is entering an exciting phase of accelerated growth. Backed by substantial investment and a clearly defined strategic roadmap, the company is focused on expanding its presence across key global markets. With acquisitions, distribution, and digital innovation at the heart of its strategy, the business is scaling rapidly to meet growing demand.

The successful candidate will join as a Finance Business Partner, reporting directly to the Group FP&A Manager. This role will be central to delivering high-quality management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making across the group. Working closely with senior finance leaders and budget holders, the role will provide clear visibility on performance, support month-end processes, and help drive continuous improvements in reporting, controls, and financial processes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Owning budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring deadlines are met and constructively challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Leading and overseeing the timely delivery of monthly management accounts across multiple entities and currencies, working to a strict reporting timetable.
  • Preparing detailed variance analysis with clear written commentary, ensuring variances to budget and forecast are thoroughly investigated and explained.
  • Assisting with the enhancement of cost control processes and reporting for budget holders.
  • Building strong relationships with budget holders to promote trust, collaboration, and effective financial partnering.
  • Taking initiative to streamline and improve processes within the management accounts team and the wider finance function.
  • Owning journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end processing.
The candidate:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in management accounting or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong background in budgeting and forecasting, with confidence challenging stakeholders and budget holders constructively.
  • Demonstrated management experience, with the ability to lead, develop, and support junior finance team members or oversee workstreams within a broader team.
  • Demonstrated business partnering capability, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance audiences.
  • Experience with finance systems such as Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
