Partly is headquartered in Austin, TX with offices in London, UK, Christchurch, NZ and Auckland, NZ. This position is based in our London office.
Partly's mission is to connect the world's parts by building the first global platform for replacement parts, starting with auto parts. Our vision is to accelerate the world towards a sustainable future where anyone can fix anything. We utilize cutting-edge technology to solve challenging problems that make a huge impact in a $1.9 trillion industry.
This role is a product-builder role, not a ticket-taking one. You own a product surface end to end: you talk to the customer, form the idea, build it, ship it, measure it, and decide what happens next. You'll build at the center of a multi-trillion-dollar industry that still runs on phone calls, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge. Replacement parts is one of the largest physical markets on earth and one of the least digitized.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building, not just specifying. Prototype new product iterations yourself using AI-assisted tooling.
- Staying close to customers and understanding their work context.
- Reconciling signal by combining observations with data insights.
- Owning the outcome and making decisions based on metrics.
- Making trade-offs between product impact and engineering effort.
- Building agentic experiences that capture intent and earn user trust.
- Raising the bar by collaborating with software engineers on shared components.
Your skills should include:
- A track record of taking features from idea to production.
- Genuine customer obsession and a habit of spending time with users.
- Product taste and craft that prioritises effortless experiences for non-technical users.
- A point of view on agentic product design.
- Strong analytical instincts and the ability to operate well in ambiguity.
Strong signals we look for include:
- Experience shipping AI-assisted or agent-driven features.
- Background in building operational or workflow-heavy B2B products.
- Experience in a startup that scaled materially.
Bonus points for domain knowledge in automotive, repair, or insurance claims, and experience with Rust.
Benefits include competitive base salary + equity, annual global offsite in New Zealand, parental leave, team lunches, flexible working hours, and a wellness allowance.
