Key Responsibilities

  • Identify clients' financial goals and objectives
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Develop financial plans for clients
  • Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Provide financial, business and tax advice
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Administer charitable or corporate trust funds

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in finance/accounting
