Clarion Housing Group are looking for ambitious, passionate and dedicated Graduates to embark on a journey with our Graduate Programme within our Property Department.
The Role
The Housing Association Graduate programme is a two-year development programme providing a number of rotations across our Property Directorate, working with a range of teams from our day-to-day repairs team to our strategic asset management team. The rotations provide hands-on experience of working for an organisation that is tackling the housing crisis and ensuring people who need social housing get the best experience possible.
The programme is designed to provide the relevant training and work experience to enable the post holder to grow into a competent and professional member of the Property Directorate at Clarion. The diversity of the programme means that opportunities will arise across a number of different disciplines depending on the skillset and interest of the post holder, ranging from property-specific technical posts to working directly with our customers.
The tailored programme offers personal & professional skills development through our Graduate Development Programme. You’ll have the opportunity to regularly network and learn with other Clarion graduates to develop & apply relevant skills across a range of topics such as change management, strategic thinking & leadership & management. You may also be able to complete professional accreditation and/or qualification such as Assessment of Professional Competence for full Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors accreditation, where deemed relevant.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
You’ll take part in four six-month rotations across a range of teams. The rotations will be agreed prior to the commencement of the programme. Some example rotations are below:
- Asset Strategy Team – to help set and deliver Clarion’s 2050 Asset strategy that maps out how we ensure all our homes reach the right standard by the year 2050; to understand the Options Appraisal and portfolio review processes including report writing, information sourcing, programming and engaging with staff and residents.
- Asset Investment Team – work with the team who deliver our national investment programmes. Learn about how works to our homes are prioritised and delivered through our partner contractors. Have the opportunity to see our live projects and how we engage with our residents whilst completing these works.
- Building Safety Team – to support the development of our fire safety programme, visit site and work with Delivery Managers to oversee the fire safety remediation programme. To learn about contracts, specialist surveying, building safety and project management in a national organisation.
- Property Services Team – to learn about how we carry out servicing and maintenance in our homes in order to ensure the safety of our residents. Whether its carrying out a gas safety check or ensuring the maintenance of a lift in a block of flats the team are focused on compliance and maintaining the mechanical and electrical assets within our stock.
- Repairs Team – to learn about delivering repairs on a day-to-day basis, supply chain procurement, fleet management, performance analysis & insight, Compliance and Health and Safety.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What are we looking for?
- We’re looking for talented and self-motivated individuals with a proven track record of successfully applying themselves both academically and through relevant work experience.
- You must have achieved a minimum of a 2.2 in your degree in the past 3 years. Ideally this would be related to community development, property or housing, however we are also keen to hear from those with other qualifications that bring relevant experience to a social housing setting.
- You will be a self-motivated, ambitious team player who can use their initiative to ensure personal and business success.
- A demonstrable interest in social housing.
- Excellent organising, planning and time-management skills with experience of working to deadlines across a variety of projects.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptable to change.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good communication and listening skills, both written and verbal.
- Good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

- Interviews will be held as part of an assessment day on Tuesday 8th April at our Greater London House offices, Camden.
- Successful Graduates will commence a 2 year fixed term contract in September 2025.
