Our client has a key opportunity for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead technical delivery, guide project teams and manage client relationships within a dynamic and growing Cardiff engineering environment.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of major electrical design packages, lead stakeholder coordination, develop initial design strategies, and play a central role in mentoring the next generation of engineers. This role requires strong technical capability and confidence leading multi-disciplinary delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of electrical design across a range of sectors
- Develop early-stage design concepts aligned with project briefs and standards
- Represent electrical engineering in all client and design team interactions
- Coordinate stakeholders and ensure high-quality, timely delivery
- Support commercial management including fee monitoring and resource planning
- Mentor, guide and develop junior engineers and apprentices
What You Need
- Strong track record delivering electrical building services across complex schemes
- Proficiency with modern delivery tools (Revit, BIM, Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM)
