Parsonage Grill is part of the Oxford Collection, a privately owned group of luxury hotels and restaurants. We are looking for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Parsonage Grill.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Thrives on giving guests a memorable experience
- Supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the induction and training of new kitchen team members
- Possesses effective time‑management skills
- Is passionate about cooking seasonal ingredients
- Has experience working in a similar restaurant; full training will be provided
Typical duties:
- Confidence in running and overseeing all sections in the kitchen
- Ensuring consistency in delivering the restaurant’s high standards
- Maintaining prep levels appropriate to sales volume
- Ensuring all deliveries are put away as soon as they arrive and stock is rotated using the First‑In‑First‑Out method, checking 'Use by Dates'
- Attending and participating in all team meetings
We offer a sensible shift pattern across a 45‑hour working week (Monday‑Sunday rota with two days off) with an on‑target earnings of up to £16.58 per hour, £38,797.00 per annum. Based on 45 hours per week, and including non‑contractual tronc (service charge). Part‑time hours may also be considered.
