We are building the agentic infrastructure for risk decisions with real complexity and consequences. We are hiring our first commercial hire to build the go-to-market engine at Parsewise. This is a founding role for someone who can build outbound sequences in the morning, run a demo with a Head of Underwriting at lunch, and write the case study that lands the next customer in the afternoon. You will own the full commercial motion: marketing, sales, and everything in between, and build the playbook that scales us from our existing enterprise customers to many more.

We are an ex-Palantir and ex-Bain founding team, looking for ambitious, smart, nice people to join us. YC, General Advance, Network VC, and angels from Palantir, OpenAI, McKinsey, and Capital Group are backing us.

Parsewise is a YC-backed startup that's live with leading companies in insurance and reinsurance. Underwriters, brokers, and risk teams use Parsewise to read full submission and claims files end-to-end, turn them into structured, source-linked, decision-ready data, and surface the key risk signals in a dedicated UI that fits their workflow. We are growing a team of driven, high-ownership people to stay at the cutting edge of this technology wave and deliver on its promise for regulated buyers.

We're building the most reliable and scalable pipelines for unstructured data. Beyond the document ingestion and understanding that out-of-the-box LLMs can solve, we give business users a level of AI support that no chatbot can provide, tackling the hardest parts of the technology head-on: hallucinations, explainability, and scalability.

The Role

As our Founding GTM hire, you will build the commercial engine from the ground up. We already have enterprise customers and a strong product-market pull. Your job is to turn that into a repeatable, scalable motion. You will:

  • Build and own the outbound sales pipeline: identify target accounts, craft outreach, book meetings, and close deals across insurance, reinsurance, and adjacent markets.
  • Run the full sales cycle from first touch to signed contract — demos, pilots, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Create the marketing foundation: positioning, messaging, content (case studies, one-pagers, LinkedIn, email sequences), and demand generation that drives inbound interest.
  • Develop the GTM playbook: define ICP, map buyer personas, build sales collateral, and establish the processes that let Parsewise scale its commercial efforts beyond you.
  • Work closely with the team to translate customer feedback and market signals into product direction.
  • Represent Parsewise at industry events, conferences, and in the London market, building relationships that open doors.

This is a 0-to-1 role. You won't inherit a playbook; you'll write it. That means you need to be comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and doing whatever it takes to move the number.

What We Value

  • Empathy & Collaboration: You are an effective communicator, sharp, and a team player.
  • Problem-Solving: You approach challenges with a first-principles mindset and prioritise deep understanding before implementation. A lot of what we build does not have an industry standard to follow.
  • Ownership: You are self-motivated and take responsibility for delivering high-quality work without needing oversight. We are a small and growing team, and you will be expected to take ownership.
  • Non-conventional thinking/ risk-taking: You are eager to take calculated, smart risks.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven ability to build a pipeline and close deals, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or a technical product.
  • Experience building GTM motions from scratch: you've written the outbound sequences, built the collateral, and figured out what works through experimentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication: you can write a compelling cold email, run a sharp demo, and produce content that resonates with senior buyers.
  • Comfort with technical products: you don't need to write code, but you need to understand how AI/data products work well enough to sell them credibly.
  • A bias toward action and a track record of shipping in fast-moving environments.
  • In-office by default (we're a fun bunch + snacks), with the option for occasional remote work.
  • Insurance, reinsurance, or financial services experience is a strong plus, especially a network in the London market.

What We Offer

  • Compensation: £60-80k base + commission + equity (0.5-1%).
  • Growth: an opportunity to build the commercial function at a YC-backed AI startup with direct impact on customers and revenue.
  • Collaboration: a team of highly curious and motivated people who inspire and challenge each other daily.
  • Benefits: "take what you need" PTO, annual company retreats, health benefits, and more to come.
