What you'll do

• Lead the design process for new product features and enhancements, from initial research and ideation through to final implementation.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define design requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and improve user experience.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of design thinking.
• Analyze user feedback and analytics to iterate on designs and enhance product usability and satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
• Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback to help them grow in their roles.
• Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure that product design aligns with overall brand strategy.
• Participate in design reviews and workshops to gather input and foster collaboration among team members.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, effectively communicating the value of design decisions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar applications.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including usability testing and user research techniques.
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team culture.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an understanding of how design translates into code.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with design sprints.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in design.
• Previous experience in a SaaS or tech-focused company.
• A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
