We are seeking a strategic and high-impact Sales Director to lead our commercial growth in the UK market. As Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by securing high-value enterprise contracts (annual targets of ÂŁ1.5M+) and expanding our footprint within scale-up and enterprise accounts. You will act as a strategic partner to our clients, leveraging your deep expertise in consultancy services and software engineering trends to deliver bespoke solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the engineering and presales team on proposals and presentations.
- Develop and implement client engagement strategies and account plans.
- Oversee the entire sales process, including lead qualification, pre‑sales activities, quoting, contract completion, and closing.
- Manage and Build Client Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Understand client needs and tailor the company's solutions accordingly.
- Regularly communicate with clients to identify potential issues and offer solutions.
- Provide updates on company offerings, product roadmaps, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling the company's solutions to existing clients.
- Focus on growing existing accounts and maximising their potential.
- Liaise and Collaborate with Cross‑Functional Teams
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the company's development team to ensure client requirements are understood and implemented.
- Manage client expectations with the delivery team, ensuring on‑time and within budget deliverables.
- Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Advocate for client needs within the company and ensure that offerings meet client requirements.
- Create and negotiate complex quotes, RFIs/RFPs, and contracts, managing sales negotiations at the decision‑making level.
Requirements
- 10+ years of proven experience in technical sales or consultancy services within the software sector.
- A track record of hitting ÂŁ1M+ annual quotas within the Enterprise space.
- Deep experience navigating complex consultancy service agreements.
- Experience collaborating with global, distributed, or offshore engineering teams.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical executives.
- BA in Business or BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
